ABATE, MARY DIGIRALAMOR 

Mary Digiralamor Abate, 85, passed away on Feb. 20, 2012.

She was a native of Chicago, Ill. and a resident of St. Rose for the past 65 
years. 

She was the beloved wife of the late Sam V. Abate, mother of Sam Abate Jr. 
(wife Debbie) and Peter Joseph "P.J." Abate (late wife Susan), daughter of the 
late Minnie Marten and Sam Digiralamor, sister of Laura Faber, Madlyn Feeney, 
Nick Digiralamor, Janet Salnick, Josephine Digiralamor, Gail Trimble, and the 
late Virginia Crowell; grandmother of two, great-grandmother of three, step-
grandmother of two and step-great-grandmother of five. 
She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. 

She was a former employee of Sears Roebuck. 

A special thanks to Gloria Robin.

Services were held at L. A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home in Kenner on Feb. 24 
and 25 with a funeral Mass immediately following at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 
Catholic Church of Kenner. 
Interment was in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
