Boyer, 87, a native and resident of Paradis, passed away at 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Visitation was held at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland until the funeral on Wednesday, June 2. A military and prayer service was held at the funeral home and the burial followed at St. Gertrude cemetery in Des Allemands. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Mae Peyregne Boyer; daughter, Lynell B. Sherrill and husband Joe; sons, Lowell J. Boyer and wife Karen matherne Boyer and lyle L. Boyer; nine grandchildren, Rebecca, Chris, Mindy, Kyna, Lacy, Peter, Brian, Evan and Sean; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother brother, Joseph Boyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Pierre and Lillian Dugas Boyer and his sister, Beatrice LeGrande. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a chief criminal deputy of St. Charles Parish Police Department. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to be made to The Wounded Warrior Project P.O.
