She was born in Houston, TX, grew up in Kenner, LA and was a resident of Norco, LA since 1960. She graduated from Kenner High School and earned a B.S. in Education from Loyola and a Masters Degree from Tulane University. She was a foreign language teacher with the Jefferson Parish School System for over 30 years and after retirement worked as a French Teacher at Riverside Academy in Reserve. Jean Marie was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Vieux Carre Chapter as a member and former Regent, the Daughters of the Confederacy, and a dedicated member of the St. Joan of Arc and Sacred Heart Choirs. Wife of the late Rodney L. Cambre, Sr., daughter of the late Caroline "Carrie" Marie Bourque and Joseph Eugene Louviere. Mother of Rodney L. Cambre, Jr., Michelle C. Duhe (Doyle), Andre E. Cambre (Leslie), Denise A. Cambre, and Carey C. Rochelle (George). Grandmother of Cameron, Aaron, Clayton, and Caroline Cambre, George, Shelby, and Abby Rochelle, Meredith and Michael Duhe. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the visitation from 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 401 Spruce Street, Norco. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Father Terry Becnel. Burial will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan. Special thanks to our dedicated caregivers, Angela Anderson and Laura Bennett, for their love, kindness and support shown during our mother's illness. Thanks also to the staff of Visiting Angels and Serenity Hospice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco. ===================
