Hicks, 83, passed away at 5:18 p.m. on Sept. 23 at St. Thomas Hospital in Cadiz, Ky. after a short illness. Hicks was was born in Indianapolis, Ind. and was a retired Teacher having spent 32 years in education, teaching, serving as school lunch supervisor, director of pupil personnel and a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma. Hicks is survived by sons Mark Hicks (wife Madlyn) of Baton Rouge, Neil Hicks (wife Trudy) of Luling, Jimmy Hicks (wife Miranda) of Luling and daughters Ellen Spievy (husband Mark) of Lexington, Ky. and Robbin Friloux (husband Gerald) of Destrehan. She is also survived by sister Judy Woolsley of Bowling Green, Ky.; twelve granchildren, Rhett, Amy, Adam, Taylor, Josh, Matt, Maggie, Allison, Steven, Ashley, Hunter and Erin and two great-granchildren, Lilly and Evaline. Hicks was preceded in death by husband, David T. Hicks; father, Ellis Williams and mother, Mary Ethel Bruce Williams and brothers, Bruce and David Williams. Memorial Services were held Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Ponderosa Baptist Church in Cadiz where she was a church member. King's Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangement. Rev.
