Shirley A. Toups passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the age of 71 
after a three year battle with cancer. 

Beloved wife of Russell Joseph Toups of 38 years. 

She is survived by her two sons Vincent Charles Licata, III and Anthony Joseph 
Licata. 

She is preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Ann Peele and her brother 
Melvin Zamora Jr. 
She was the daughter of the late Melvin Sr. and Mabel Zamora. She was the 
grandmother of two. 

A special thanks to her Eucharistic minister, Carolyn Boyd and to the Guardian 
Angel Hospice nurses, Allene McCann and Natalie Pratar. She was an active 
member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Nifty-Fifties, Busy Bees, St. Charles Parish 
Choir, AARP and the Relay for Life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, December 
28, 2012 starting 9:15 AM till 10:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM at 

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, La. 

Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan, La.
