A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just he is." Deu. 32:4. A faithful and dutiful servant of Jesus Christ every day of her life, Ruby Anes Forbes Truax went to be with her Lord on January 13, 2012. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA on July 24, 1923. Survived by her son, William Truax and daughter-in-law, Diane Truax, with whom she lived with in Norco, LA. Survived also another daughter-in-law, Anamaria Truax of Baton Rouge, and two sisters, Evelyn Forbes Berard of Opelousas, and Aline Forbes Aguillard of Greenwell Springs, LA. Ruby had five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Archie E. Truax, USMC Retired, and her son, James F. Truax, USMC, and her parents, AD and Roberta Forbes. Ruby was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother and grandmother. Although her accomplishments were many and great, rarely did she believe them to be. She was a Registered Nurse, retired from Our Lady of Lake Regional Medical Center. Ruby was a former resident of Yellville, AR where she live for 30 years, and a member of First Baptist Church of Yellville. Devoted to community service, Ruby served on the Marion County Fair Board and volunteered once a week at the Marion County Food Closet. She was an accomplished artist of acrylics and watercolor paintings, needlework, and could play the dulcimer and autoharp. Ruby was a member of the PALS Art Club and a member of the senior citizens "Good Time Yukelie Band". She was an Eastern Star, and taught Sunday School most of her adult life. She also served as the Medical Badge Counselor for the Boys Scouts of America. While stationed with her husband in Hawaii, Ruby was part of a Baptist Missionary wherein she helped establish one of the first Baptist Churches in Kalihi, Honolulu on the island of Oahu. She loved to travel with her friends from church, and the "On the Road Again" Gang. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her no matter the length of friendship and remembered in our hearts forever. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services from the parlor of H. C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth Street, Norco, LA on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 4:00 PM. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 4:00PM. A Graveside services will be celebrated on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Garden of Memories Cemetery, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA. ===================
