Zeringue was retired from Monsato Company after 39 years of dedicated service. Etienne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet Waguespack Zeringue; daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene Z. and Larry Anthony, Allison Z. and William Wise; brothers, Victorin Zeringue and Cecil Zeringue; grandchildren, Heather G. Stephens, Hope Gaudet, Blaise Wise, Dane Wise; and great grandchildren, Bella Stephens, Skylar Stephens and Maegan Stephens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavinia Faucheux and Wallis Zeringue Sr.; sister, Rose Marie Zeringue; brothers, Wallis Jr., Roger, Raymond, Maurice, Francis, Eugene, and Joseph Zeringue. Etienne was a graduate of St. James High School and served in the United States Coast Guard. He was member of K.C. Council 9933, an usher and altar server at Holy Family Church for many years, and a recipient of The Order of Saint Louis IX Medallion in 2000. Blackie was also an avid LSU and Saints fan. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling on Dec. 6 from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated by Rev. Clarence Waguespack, brother-in-law of Etienne. Entombment is in St. Philip Catholic Church Mausoleum in Vacherie. ===================
