Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stcharles/photos/obits/2013 and click on the name of interest. ========== Rosalie Matherne Beadle of Des Allemands, died peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Raceland on Aug. 30, 1944. Visitation was on Wednesday, Oct. 16 and Thursday, Oct. 17 at Des Allemands Mennonite Church. Religious services wre Thursday at Des Allemands Mennonite Church with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Hubert Beadle III; one son, Darrin Beadle and wife Julie; one daughter, Yvette Beadle Dunn and husband Michael; five grandchildren, Erik Beadle, Austin Dunn, Lauren Beadle, Drew Dunn and Brock Dunn, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by three brothers, Morris “Bucky” Matherne and wife Joanne, Roy Hogan and wife Betty, Lynn “Bozo” Hogan and wife Joyce, and five sisters, Betty Dufrene, Geraldine Mahan and husband Gerald, Beatrice Barbier and husband Gerald, Sandra Yokum and Deborah Daigle and husband David. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris Sr. and Alta Hogan Matherne; one sister, Faye Powell, one brother, Charles Matherne and brother-in-law, Nunnie Dufrene. She graduated from Raceland High School in 1962. She devoted 20 years to the St. Charles Parish School System where she worked as an aide with special needs children. The family thanks Rosalie’s team of doctors and staff of Tulane University Hospital, especially Dr. Nathan Shores and the abdominal transplant department and ICU doctors and nurses, for giving her the health and strength to enjoy her last months with her family and friends before succumbing to her illness in peace.
