She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was not only known as “maw maw” by her family, but to everyone she met. Visitation was Thursday, Dec. 5 and Friday, Dec. 6 at First Baptist Church of Larose. Religious services were Friday at First Baptist Church of Larose with burial following in Des Allemands Mennonite Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Norris Comardelle Jr. and wife Maureen, Vincent Comardelle and wife Connie, Danny Comardelle and companion Ann, Steve Comardelle and wife Pamela; daughter, Meria Johnfroe and husband Harold; son- in-law, Gilbert Eschette and wife Paula; 16 grandchildren, 44 great- grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Comardelle Sr.; daughter, Sylvia Eschette; parents, Hildes and Lovinia Dufrene Matherne; brothers, Jerry Matherne, Wilmont “Bill” Matherne, Luther Matherne; sisters, Lilly Matherne, Dorothy Howeth, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and sharing her love for Jesus. “Maw maw” will be greatly missed. Falgout Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements. ===================
