Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stcharles/photos/obits/2013 and click on the name of interest. ========== Gilbert Dufrene Jr., devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away on November 20, 2013 at the age of 85. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna "Sis" Dufrene and his child, Kyle. He is survived by his five children: Theron (Lisa), Brandon (Valerie), Darla (Rusty) Rebowe, Cindy Dufrene Rasmussen, and Becky (Stephen) Weber. He is also survived by grandchildren Amanda, Jessica, Brittany, Lacey, Brandon, Brad Dufrene; Rustin, Baileigh, Taylor Rebowe; Dustin Faucheux; Hannah, Renny, Jace and Emily Weber; and great-grandchildren Vali and Jett Rupert; Karley, Kelsey, Kenzie Riley, Tyler and Lilyana. Paw Paw Gilly was the #1 fan of all of his grandchildren and he will be greatly missed. He was a proud member of the American Legion River Road Post 366. Gilbert was a corpsman in the Korean War and was very proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. A special thanks to the American Legion River Road Post 366, Ormond Nursing Home, and St. Catherine's Hospice Relatives and friends are invited to attend at visitation at St. Charles Borromeo on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 from 9:30 AM till 12:45 PM. There will be Words of Remembrance celebrated at 1:00PM followed by a military burial at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. There will be a Celebration of Life at the American Legion River Road Post 366 in St. Rose following the burial. ===================
