He was the youth pastor at St. John Baptist Church and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Clardie was the beloved son of Djuana F. Brown and the late Clardie Lee Ellis Jr. and step-son of Darnell Ellis. Proud father of Kyreese Ellis. Also survived by his sister Dominique Mary Joyce (Tyree) Johnson, grandfather Leroyal Fields, grandmother Ruby B. Ellis, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Clardie was preceded in death by his grandmother Mary Joyce Fields, great-grandmother Essie Hughes, grandfather Clardie Lee Ellis Sr., uncle Gary Ellis, Sr. and cousin Daniel D. Ellis. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers, and members of St. John Baptist Church, Watson Memorial, Guiding Light B. C., the 2013 Graduating Class of SUNO (Social Work Dept.), members of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc., the New Orleans Police Department, Rouses and Medicaid are all invited to attend the home going celebration at St. John Baptist Church, located at 8540 Panola Street, on Thursday, June 20 at 11 a.m. Rev Donald P. Boutte’ officiating. Interment is in Providence Memorial Park. Visitation will take place at 9 a.m. in the church. ===================
