She was a lifetime resident of Luling. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Estay and devoted mother of the late Iris Estay Moreau. She is survived by two grandchildren, including Maria Moreau Guidry (husband Avery) and Bridget Moreau Champagne (husband Morris). She was the great grandmother of Raynee Guidry Tregre (husband Dwayne), Amy Moreau Williamson (husband Adam) and Sarah Moreau. She also has two great-great-grandchildren, Dakota Benoit and Nicholas Moreau. She is also survived by a step-great-grandchild, Brandon Champagne and a step-great-great-grandchild, Dalton Tregre. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mathilde Trapagnier Gassen and Antoine Gassen; two sisters, Edna Gassen Bourg and Vivian Gassen Dominique and one grandson, Aubrey Moreau Jr. She was employed by the St. Charles Parish School Board until she retired, after teaching first grade for over 42 years at Hahnville Elementary School. She was a member of the State of Louisiana Retired Teachers Association, the St. Charles Parish Retired Teachers Association, VFW Post #3750 Auxiliary, St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling and later in life, attended Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Hahnville. Relatives and friends, the St. Charles Parish School Board and staff, retired teachers, members of the VFW Post #3750, members of St. Anthony Church and members of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church were invited to attend the funeral at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville. A Mass of Christian Burial was held, preceded by visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Burial took place at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
