Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stcharles/photos/obits/2013 and click on the name of interest. ========== Dr. James "Boss" Franklin Hunnicutt, Sr., born on September 25, 1937 in Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013 after a lengthy illness of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Devoted husband of Frances Gaeto Hunnicutt of 56 years and a loving father of James F. Hunnicutt, Jr. (Lisa), Deborah Ann Lambert (Mike ), Michael David Hunnicutt (Joyce) and Yvette Marie Funel (Gary). A proud grandfather of Holly Lynn Lambert, Jordan Lambert, Bradley Hunnicutt, Casey Hunnicutt, Rachel Funel, Cory Funel and great grandfather of Cecilia, Morgan and Camille Hunnicutt. Son of the late Agnes Corine Dempsey Hunnicutt Bell and Thomas Jack Hunnicutt and brother of Robert Hunnicutt, Charles Hunnicutt and preceded in death by Thomas C. Hunnicutt and Frances H. Wilson. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 76, a native of Columbus, Georgia and a resident of Chalmette and the Greater New Orleans area. A graduate of Francis T. Nicholls (Rebels) High School and Loyola University with a BS in Pharmacy. He obtained his Pharmacy Degree from Loyola at a later date. He was the owner of the Family Drug Center in New Orleans for 28 years and sold the pharmacy. He worked for Eckerd's (Now CVS) and retired in 2008. He is a life member of the Louisiana Pharmacy Association where he held many positions as a board member and a 2 consecutive terms as president. He was awarded Pharmacist of the year, Bowl of Hugea from A. H. Robins Lab, Gold Pharmacy Certificate in 2010 and was a member of the Golden Wolf Society. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery following the Mass. ===================
