Father of Julian S. Madere (Jenny), Pamela A. Madere, Kim Michael Madere (Kathy), Keith A. Madere, Jennifer M. Daigle (David) and the late Kathy M. Mulligan. Son of the late James Farrell Madere, Sr., and Julie Gaubert Madere. Brother of the late Fredrick (Fred) Madere, Billie Madere Horn, Alvin David Madere, Russell Dean Madere, Dolores Madere Guillot, and Louis Donald Madere. Also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, and numerous Nieces, and Nephews. Mr. Madere was a retired carpenter for Shell Oil Refinery after 35 years of service. He served in the US Army Veteran during WWII and was the recipient of the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Metal with 2 Bronze Stars, Philippine Liberation Bronze Arrowhead and 2 Purple Hearts. Mr. Madere was a friend to everyone he meet and never had a harsh word about anyone. He was an avid baseball and football fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and the great outdoors. He truly was an old fashion Southern Gentlemen. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, #1 Rectory Lane, Hahnville, LA on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 9:30 AM until 10:50 AM. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA. H. C. Alexander Funeral Home of Norco, LA in charge of Arrangements. ===================
