Oscar died peacefully at the age of 102, on February 8, 2013 at 2:15pm, at Ashton Manor Assisted Living Facility in Luling, La. He was a resident of Destrehan, La for 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Nola Rochelle of 62 years. Devoted father of Verna W. Simoneaux (Clarence), Joan W. Boyne Becnel (Roland), and John Michael Weaver (Avis). Grandfather of Dennis Simoneaux (Stephanie), Jeff Simoneaux (Liz), Jill S. Clement (Kyle), Greg Boyne (Shannon), Jenny B. Aupied (David), Jay Weaver (Denise), Janell W. Levet (Daniel). Great grandfather of Abbey, Austin, and Jordan Simoneaux, Cole, Reese, and Brock Clement, Tyler, Ryley, and Kamryn Boyne, Matt, Nathan, and Erinn Aupied, Heidi and Peyton Levet, and Jasmine Spivey. Brother of Alvin D. Weaver of San Antonio, Texas and the late J.C. and Warren Weaver and Elizabeth Haydel Accord. Brother –in-law of Verna P. Weaver and JoAnn Weaver. "Gooley" was a life-long parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, La. He served in World War II as a part of the Army Air Corps. After many years of service, he retired from American Oil and Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Company. The Weaver family sincerely appreciates his caregivers: Dr. Leonard Kancher, Rona Wiltz, Joycelyn Thomas, St. Joseph Hospice, and the entire staff of Ashton Manor Assisted Living Facility. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, Louisiana on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 9:00AM to 10:45AM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. Arrangements under the direction of H. C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, LA. ===================
