He was a native of New Orleans, he resided in Chalmette for many years and a current resident of Montz, La. Benny was a retired seaman with Seafarers International Union and cab driver with Liberty Bell. He served his country in the US Navy and was a member of Arabi Louisiana V.F. W. Post 7194. Benny was the beloved husband of Laura C. Benenate. Father of Lori B. Weems(Cliff), Sandra B. Genzale and Natalie J. Benenate. Grandfather of Ryan Weems and Madison Genzale. Son of the late George Benenate and Edwina Nuckley Benenate. Brother of Marie Pardo and Doris Benenate. He is also survived by 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. Benny leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and family members who will miss him greatly. Many thanks to the staff at Heart of Hospice for their compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth St. Norco, La 70079 on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 8:30AM till the time of service at 11:00AM.
