He is survived by his father Patrick Blackwell, step- mother Trudi Blackwell and his mother Deanna Copeland. Brother; Joshua Blackwell (Julie), step- brothers; Brock Lawrence, Sr. (Joy), Brandon Lawrence (Vanessa), Blake Lawrence. Grandson of Herman Dauzat and preceded in death by his grandparents; Alta "Sweetie" Blackwell, Charles F. Blackwell, Anna Dauzat and grandma "Pat". He is also survived by his girlfriend Angele Burch and her daughter Payton Burch. Jason is also survived by his 7 nephews, 1 niece, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Age 31, a native of LaPlace, LA and a resident of River Ridge, LA. A graduate of Destrehan High School and served his country in the United States Air Force from October 14, 2003 until his discharge in October 13, 2007. He was attending Delgado College majoring in Information Technology Communications. He enjoyed gardening, sailing on the lake, working on electronics and anything mechanical, spending time with family and friends. He was by all means very intelligent. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, LA on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:30 AM. Visitation from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will be in Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mt. Pleasant Rd., Zachary, LA., following the service. H. C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth St., Norco, LA in charge of arrangements.
