A funeral mass was held at St. Gertrude and burial followed in St. Gertrude Catholic Church cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Burt Dempster and wife Janet; Curtis Dempster, Terry Dempster, and Kenneth Dempster and wife Cindy; brother, Jerry Dempster; sisters, Una F. Vanacor and Azalie F. Guilliot; daughter-in-law, Alice Dufrene Dempster; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dempster Sr.; son, John “Johnny” Dempster Jr.; parents, Gustave and Celine Matherne Folse; grandson, Burt Dempster Jr.; brothers, Alexie, Lawrence, Sidney, Theodore, and Paul Folse; sister, Nazie F. Amedee; and daughter-in-law, Gail Orgeron Dempster. She was a lunch room attendant for Des Allemands and Paradis schools for 20 years and a parishioner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and her hobbies included camping and dancing. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ===================
