"Steve" Deslattes was one of seven children born to Emanuel and Annette Deslattes of Laplace. After graduating Leon Gaudcheux in 1954 he served in the Army. During his service he married Laura Babin of Norco. A resident of Norco for 57 years. He worked at Shell Chemical and was a 4th degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus, Red Church Council #3634 of Norco. He was preceded in death by his parents Emanuel and Annette Deslattes and his siblings; Frank Deslattes, Claudia LaBauve, Aline Corey, White Clouatre and Ben I. Deslattes. He is survived by his wife Laura B. Deslattes and daughter Arlene D. Brayard, son-in law Mark Brayard and grandson Stephen B. Brayard and sister Georgia Landry. He was also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, La on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 10AM till 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM. Private interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred. ===================
