Marlin D. Dufrene, 73, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Luling, passed 
away Thursday, Feb. 27.

Visitation and funeral were  Monday, March 3 at the funeral home, 

with a private burial at a later date.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Betty Dufrene; sons, Timothy 
Dufrene, David Berry and Dennis Berry and wife, Wanda; daughters, Lori Olin and 
husband, Mark, Carla Dufrene and husband, Thuy Benson, Patti Dufrene and 
husband, Freddy Fricke, Angela McClure and husband, Larry and Vicki Hatfield 
and husband, Dan; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tracy and Clara Dufrene.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Mathews is in charge of arrangements.
