She was a native of Boutte, LA and a long time resident of Norco. She was the beloved wife of John Kirby Giroir Sr. for exactly 65 years. She is survived by her children, Vickie Reneau (Kenneth), John Giroir, Jr. (Tiphanie), Lisa Russo (Darby) and Mark Giroir; grandchildren, Erin Knobloch, Victoria Reneau, Kristin Tabb (Michael), Candace Ariza (Frank), Kassy Black, David Gunn, Ryan Hemstad, Laine Hemstad, Nicholas Hemstad and Jade Hemstad; and great-grandchildren, Evan Knobloch, Sullivan Tabb, Leo Ariza, Ryan Black, and Ford Black. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Josephine Ciravolo Digirolamo. Survived by siblings Santa Trosclair (Pete), Salvador Digirolamo (Deannie), Betty Mire, Rose Songy (Gerald) and brother-in-law Norman Hymel and sister-in- law Myrt Digirolamo. Preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Alcee and Ida Vicknair Giroir; brother Nicholas Digirolamo; sister Marie Robert; brothers-in-law Harold Robert, Paul Mire, Richard Darensburg, and E. J. Torres; and sisters-in- law Elsie Darensburg, Alice Mae Hymel and Myrtle Torres. She was a graduate of Destrehan High School and retired employee of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office. She enjoyed fishing in Grand Isle and the New Orleans Saints. Was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 195, Norco and the Ladies Altar Society for Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply. Thank you Dr. Gabrielle Vidal from Ochsner for giving us two precious years with our wife and mother. Also, our sincerest appreciation to Dr. Raj, the staff of both Ochsner Main Campus and St. Charles Parish Hospital and her home sitters for the care and attention in her final days. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 401 Spruce St., Norco, Louisiana on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
