Mary "Crackers" Melancon Jackson passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014. 

Beloved wife of the late John Kent Jackson, Jr. for 64 years. 
Loving mother of Scott, Sybil J. Dominique, Tim (Holly), Bob (Lisa), Ray 
(Sheryl) and David (Donna). 
A proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 
Daughter of the late Lillian Fernandez Melancon and Charles L. Melancon, Sr. 

Preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Cheese" L. Melancon, Jr . She is 
survived by her brother Paul "Butter" S. Melancon of CA. Also survived by 
numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Age 86, a native of Norco, LA and a resident of Norco, Tickfaw and LaPlace, LA. 
Mary attended Ursuline College where she majored in chemistry and minored in 
math. She was a school teacher in the St. Charles Parish private and public 
schools for 30 years. She had a love for quilting. 

The family would like to thank Mrs. Gladys Banks, her caregiver for over 2 
years. 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Sacred Heart Church in Norco, La or 
St. Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace, LA.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, Norco, LA on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM. 
Visitation from 9:00 AM until funeral time. 

Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. 

Arrangements under the direction of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, LA.
