She was a native of Paincourtville, LA and a resident of St. Rose for 32 years and Destrehan for the last 35 years. Beloved wife of the late Tennyson Rodrigue, Sr. She is survived by her devoted children: Tennyson Jr. (Ellie), Deborah Palazzo (Keith), Metha Forest (Terry), Ronald (Janeen), Brian (Kathy), and Randal (Rhett). Loving grandmother of Jude, Danielle, Angela (Mark), Sean, Dominic, Matthew, Stephen, Jared, B.J. (A.J.), Katelyn (Richie), and Casey. Great-grandmother of Hayden and Jace. She is survived by her siblings; Annie Russo, Shirley Naquin, Lena Jacobsen and Stella Lopez in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Hilda is preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Clara LeBlanc and siblings: Ruby Moon, Delta Campo, and Felix LeBlanc. She was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Church Ladies Altar Society for many years, a member of the Church choir for over 50 years, a member of the Church Bereavement Committee, the Nifty Fifties, and the Catholic Daughters. She was a graduate of Mather School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse at Southern Baptist Hospital for many years where she worked in various units and as a night supervisor. Special thanks to the staff of Serenity Residential Care for their care during the past year and Hospice Compassus. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, La. on Sunday, August 10 from 7:30pm until 9:30pm and on Monday, August 11 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 11 at 12:00pm followed by interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Charles Borromeo Monthly Seminarian Fund or St. Charles Borromeo School Endowment Fund, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA 70047.
