Gilbert T. Schexnaydre passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at his home in 
New Sarpy, Louisiana a the age of 89. 
Born in the Ormond Plantation and a lifelong native of New Sarpy, LA. 

Beloved son of the late John F. Schexnaydre and Josephine Ory Schexnaydre. 
Beloved husband of the late Obidee Singleary Schexnaydre and the late Beverly 
Millet Schexnaydre. 
Father of Gilbert T. Schexnaydre Jr. (Carolyn), Gregory Schexnaydre (Sheila), 
Guyron (Kellie) and Gwyn "Pete". Brother of the late Lawrence, Thelma Russell, 
Bernice Hebert, and Septine Schexnayder. Grandfather of Gene, Jonathan, Obidee, 
and Amanda. Great Grandfather of Payton, and Alyssa Bice, Timothy Bice, and 
Isabella Marie. 

A World War II Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 366. 
Retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Gramercy, LA.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, 
January 28, 2014 at 12:00 PM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in 
Destrehan. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. 

Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery.
