Janice Marie Dufrene Walls, 70, of Bayou Gauche, died Monday in the presence of 
her husband and family.

Born at home on February 13, 1944, she was the daughter to the late Jeffrey and 
Lena Dufrene. Having graduated from Hahnville High School, Janice was a life-
long resident of St. Charles Parish. Selflessly, Janice served others in the 
community and her church in Bayou Gauche, Life Fellowship Community Church.

As a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, JaniceÕs life revolved around her 
family. Her devotion was immeasurable.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dwight Walls; Bridgette Domengeaux 
(daughter), Daniel Domengeaux (son-in-law), Tori Jensen (granddaughter), Royce 
Jensen (grandson-in-law), Melah Grace Jensen (great-granddaughter), Taylor 
Domengeaux (grandson), Michelle Domengeaux (granddaughter-in-law).

Derryl Walls (son), Tina Walls (daughter-in-law), Kelli Finstad 
(granddaughter), Matthew Finstad (grandson-in-law), Eli John Finstad (great 
grandson), Hailey Walls (granddaughter), Payton Walls (granddaughter), Shelby 
Walls (granddaughter).

Jenelle Logan (daughter), Jonathan Logan (son-in-law), Hannah Logan 
(granddaughter), Dwight Logan (grandson), Abigail Logan (granddaughter), Rachel 
Logan (granddaughter) and Sarah Logan (granddaughter).

Glen Walls (son), Karen Walls (daughter-in-law), Zachary Walls (grandson) and 
Emily Walls (granddaughter).Also survived by sisters, Peggy Dufrene and Dorcas 
Frickey.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeffrey Dufrene Sr. and Lena 
Hogan Dufrene and brother, Jeffrey Dufrene Jr.

Visitation will be from 8 until 11 a.m., Thursday, July 24 at Life Fellowship 
Community Church. Religious services at 11 a.m. Thursday 

with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
