Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stcharles/photos/obits/2014 and click on the name of interest. ========== Rita Becnel Weber lost her 10 year battle with Alzheimer's on May 14, 2014 and joined her beloved husband, Augustin "Git" Weber, in heaven. Rita was 93. She is survived by her five daughters, Carolyn W. DeJean, Jan W. Mauduit, Sil W. Chauvin, Stephanie W. Patick, and Michele W. Florence; her sons-in-law Mel DeJean, Dale Mauduit, and Barry Florence, MD. Her thirteen grandchildren, Chantel, Bret (Dana), and Manon DeJean, Doug Mauduit, Aimee M. Buteaux (Trey), Trey and Ashly Chauvin, Angelle C. Switzer (Matt), Sarah and Dereck Patick, Alan and Rebecca Florence, and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Grace B. Keller and Mary Ann B. Breaud. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sidney and Malvina Bossier Becnel, her granddaughter, Renee Elizabeth Mauduit, her sons-in-law Kenneth E. Patick, MD and James Alan Arterbury, her brothers Roy, Sidney, Dickie, Harry, John "Lut", and Al Becnel, her sisters Louise B. Babin and Pearl B. Keller. Relatives and friends are invited to the services. Visitation will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Destrehan, Louisiana on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 9:30AM to 11:45AM followed by a Mass at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery mausoleum. The Family would like to express appreciation to the owners and staff of Fidelis Care for the loving and exceptional care given to our Mother.
