Emelda Gruntz Charlet reunited with her loving husband, Harold Honore Charlet, Sr. on November 29, 2016. 

She is survived by her children, Wayne Anthony Charlet (Lucille), Jeffrey David Charlet (Diane), Kerry Paul Charlet (Sally), and Julie Anne Penick (Danny). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, as well as her sister, Althea Heitmeir.

She is preceded in death by her children, Harold Honore Charlet, Jr. (Mary), Christy Lourdes Anne Veltman, Lori Anne Charlet, her parents, Alphonse and Lillian Gruntz, and her siblings, Rose Marie O'Dowd, Rita Abbot, Camille Hebert, Anna Torres Robichaux, and Al Gruntz.

Mrs. Emelda was the Past- President of the Westbank ARC and enjoyed watching Saints football. 
She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the L C Club- Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation, 7437 Laplaco Blvd. Marrero, LA Attn: Susan Hirchmann.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Algiers, LA on Saturday, December 3, 2016 beginning at 10 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM. 

Interment to follow Mass at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
