She passed away peacefully in her home on August 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her siblings Reuben David Allen, Bernice Allen Courtade, Freda Allen Harper, Mavis Allen O'Dell, Charles David Allen, Jr., and Connie Allen Kerr. She is survived by her husband, Clifford T. Gaudet, and a brother, Drayton Glen Allen. After graduating from Heidelberg High School, she worked for her uncle as a dental assistant. On one of her many visits to Port Allen to visit her sister, Bernice, she met her first husband, Camille Joseph Aucoin. He was drafted to serve in World War II, and they were married in St. Peter's Rectory (Washington DC) on May 27, 1943. While in Washington DC, she worked for a film production company. Jenny and Camille moved to Norco, LA when he returned from the service, where they made their life together and entertained friends and family for 40 years until his death in 1983. She is also survived by their two children, Camille J. Aucoin, Jr. (Joan) of Roswell, Georgia, and Charles "Al" Aucoin (Jean) of Destrehan, LA. Jenny was the loving and devoted grandmother of Jay Aucoin (Dawn) of Coronado, CA; Bill Aucoin (Donna) of Hillsborough, NC; Chris Aucoin (Melissa) of Dallas, TX; Connie Aucoin Landeche (Rusty) of Destrehan, LA; and Cherie' Aucoin also of Destrehan, LA. She absolutely adored her great grandchildren: Ashley Aucoin, Lauren Aucoin, Jake Aucoin, Sean Aucoin, Austin Aucoin, the late Erin Aucoin, Reid Landeche, Camille Landeche, Chloe' Guidry and Claire Guidry. When she married Clifford Gaudet in 1986, she became stepmother and grandmother to Janice Gaudet Anderson (Keith) of Norco, LA and her children: Heather, Brooke, Justin, Adam, Chase, Joshua, Gabrielle and Mikaela. Jenny owned and operated Norco Beauty Salon, where she spent her days as a hairstylist and confidant for over 40 years. Her talent, charm and hospitable nature made an appointment in her salon a real occasion for her long list of loyal customers with standing weekly appointments. She "retired" at 76 years old, but continued to make house calls to her clients that were homebound or in nursing homes well into her eighties. Jenny was an avid gardener and could be found in her yard every day. She was also a talented artist, but could never bring herself to sell her paintings. Her greatest joy, however, came from the kitchen where she loved cooking and entertaining her friends and family. Her wit, humor, southern hospitality and dancing blue eyes will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA on Friday, August 5, 2016, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held immediately preceding Mass from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan. ===================
