She was born on July 29, 1921 in Marrero, La. to Dennis and Claudia Gomez. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Dennis Gomez, Jr., her first husband Wallace Marroy and her husband of 43 years, Mac Peel. Pearl touched so many lives in her loving family and the people she met through her life. Anyone that ever met Pearl had an instant friend who offered unconditional love and friendship. She was an accomplished bowler and bridge player until her very late years. Pearl dearly loved her God and served Him and His people in many capacities as a lector, Eucharistic minister to the sick, Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, and Ministry of Care and as a sextant of the church. Pearl is survived by children Wallace Marroy, Jr. (Lucy) and Brenda Marroy (Paul Davidson); grandchildren Melissa Trailor (Phil), Mike Church (Candace), Anthony Marroy (Stephanie), Marlon Mullins (David), Mac Church, Andy Marroy (Teri), and Angela Phillips. She leaves behind 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco, LA on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 6 PM until 9 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday morning, November 28, 2016 beginning at 9 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco, LA, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM. Interment to follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan, LA. In lieu of flowers she requested masses be said. ===================
