Preston Turley Jr., 78, native of St. Charles Parish and resident of Webster, 
Texas, died on Oct. 14 at his residence.

Turley is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sceola T. Turley of Webster and 
five children:  Kenneth (Neverlon) and Brent (Minena) Turley of Houston; 
Chriscilda Nicholas of Lutcher, La.; Avis (Brian) Pollard of Denver, Colo., and 
Kerlin (Janice) Turley of South Riding, Va.  

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brothers 
Curtis, David, Lonnie, Wayne, Garrison and Darryl; sisters Lorraine and Yvonne; 
aunts Elizabeth Mitchell and Leatta Eugene; god-daughters Wardell Brown and 
Sherida Melson and a host of relatives and friends.

Turley was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Sr. and Angelina Fisher 
Turley; brothers Leroy, Edward, Everett, Alcede, Tyronne and sister, Geraldine 
Turley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to your charity of choice.

Funeral service was held Oct. 22 at New Beginning Church in League City, Texas. 
A memorial service was held Oct. 24 at  Mount Zion Baptist Church in St. Rose 
with Dr. Isiah Franklin Jr. officiating. 

Burial will be scheduled at a later date.
