All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= WEESER, ARTHUR JOSEPH, III March 11, 1943 - December 22, 2016 Arthur Joseph Weeser, III of Destrehan, LA passed away from complications stemming from his struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) on December 22, 2016. Born on March 11, 1943 in New Orleans, LA at Baptist Hospital, Art attended St. Aloysius High School in New Orleans as well as St. Paul's High School in Covington. After High School, he joined the Air Force at 17 and served as a Medic. He worked for Sub-Sea International as a diver for 15 years. Art was an entrepreneur. He owned and ran several businesses on the Northshore. He was an accomplished guitar player, loved planes, enjoyed playing golf and fishing. While in the Air Force, he studied for his Private Pilot's License. He flew a T34 Beechcraft jet trainer, a Douglas C47 Skytrain and F105 aircraft, The Thud. After receiving his Private Pilot's License, he flew to the Seattle World's Fair in 1962. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Beth Lastrapes Weeser. his daughter, Laurie Weeser Reinagel (John); two grandchildren (Mary Elisabeth and John William); his twin sister, Veronica Weeser Costanza and younger sister Miranda Weeser Jenkins. He was deeply loved by his family and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to have masses said in his name.
