Russell Weimer "Cotton" passed away Monday, September 5, 2016. 
He was born October 11, 1927 in Goodhope, LA to the late Joseph and Lucille 
Haydel Weimer.

Cotton served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion post 
195. 
He retired from Shell Oil Co.

He is survived by one sister, Hazel Weimer Anderson of LaPlace. He is also 
survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews, Godchild, Paula Mire, her 
brothers, Jay and David, and their mother Josie.

He is preceded in death by his siblings; Joseph Weimer, Lucille "Piggy"Lambert, 
Mary Gertrude "Gertie" Walters, Ray Weimer, Albert Weimer, Norma Vial, and John 
"Yut" Weimer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart of 
Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, LA on Friday, September 9, 2016 beginning at 9 
AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM. 

Interment to follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, LA.
