Mr. Charpentier was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was employed by the city of New Iberia for many years as a truck driver. He is survived by a sister, Bertha C. Landry of New Iberia, a daughter, Mary C. Matherne of Paradis, 8 grandchildren, Anthony Bailey, David Schexnayder, Lee Matherne, Olive Schmill, Colette Friloux, Kelly Griffin, Rochelle Skipper and Sherrie Coltora, 24 great-granchildren and one great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Derouen Charpentier, parents Louis and Delizanie Boudreaux Charpentier, Sr., a brother, Winnie Paul Charpentier and a sister, Josephine Charpentier. Services were held Monday, October 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Mike Guidry officiating. Interment was at the Beau Pre Mausoleum in Jeanerette, LA. The Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia handled the arrangements. # # #
