Rena Kinler Madere, 103, a native and resident of Luling, LA, died Friday, 
2 June 2000.  She is survived by four sons, Harold, Fred, Pete and Emile 
Madere Jr.; one daughter, Leona Walker; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-
grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in 
death by her husband, Emile Madere Sr.; her parents, Alfred and Madeleine
Gassen Kinler; two sons, Robert and Edward Madere; one daughter, Evelyn 
Hart; one brother, Ikey Kinler; and five sisters, Adele Champagne, Edna 
Freeman, Emma Mongrue, Lena Elliot and Cecile Kinler.  Burial in St. 
Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, LA Monday, 5 June 2000.
