He was 74. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Roussel Schexnaydre; four children, Daniel Schexnaydre Jr., Joanne Schexnaydre Gauth, and David Schexnaydre, all of Destrehan, and Diane Schexnaydre Roussel of Prairieville; a brother, Herman Schexnaydre, Destrehan; a sister, Mabel Schexnaydre, Destrehan; grandchildren, Ashylnn Schexnaydre, Amanda Gauth, Jenna Gauth, David Schexnaydre Jr., Shelley Schexnaydre and Tara Alleman; stepgrandson, Jack Cali III; two daughters-in-law, Patricia Oubre Schexnaydre and Mary Lucia Schexnaydre; and son-in-law, Dennis Roussel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rock Louis Schexnaydre and Olivia Zeringue Schexnaydre; three brothers, Louis, Andr, and Wilfred Schexnaydre; and a sister, Mildred Schexnaydre Webre. Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, Thursday, 6 Apr 2000. Entombment in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. # # #
