Directions to cemetery:  On Amite Highway, turn south toward Georgeville,
go about 2 1/2 miles, turn right (gate with lock), drive several hundred
yards, turn right near the large live oaks, about 100 yards beyond, on left.
On Earl Cefalu place, Ward 5, St. Helena Parish.

Sacred to the memory of John George
Who departed this life on the 20th of August 1837
Aged 54 years, 11 months, and 28 days
"I see the world of Spirits bright,
Who taste the pleasures there
They all are robed in spotless white
And conquering palms they bear.
At what are all my sufferings here
If Lord Thy count me meet
With enraptured host to appear
And worship at Thy feet.
Give joy or grief, give ease or pain
Take life or friends away
But let me find them all again
In that eternal day."
