This is the family cemetery of Willis Henry Strickland who married Lou Amy Strickland, came to Louisiana after 1840. Small stones - and these appear to be small children: J.R.S., D.A.S., E.F.S., T.S., J.S., T.K.S., J.R.S., D.A.S., E.F.S., T.S., J.S., M.A.S., E.E. STRICKLAND To the memory of my Beloved Husband S.A. Strickland Born March 8, 1835 Died July 26, 1880 Absolom Hardy Born Jan 2, 1817 Died Aug 29, 1875 "At Rest" Across the Highway (441) was located the James Strickland house which my brother-in-law remembers well. Roger Venable said he has been there many times and that the house stood until not so long ago. The cemetery is in a very sad condition. No care has been given it and the tombstones seem to have been moved from their original sites. Willis Henry Strickland and his wife Lou Amy Strickland are second cousins. Copied by Audrey C.
