Bond Martin Bond Jesse Bazoon A.J. Waller A LOOK AT THE CHARTER MEMBERS HARRIS WALLER Harris Waller was the first deacon. A marriage license was issued to Harris Waller to marry Harriet Watson on 12/15/1826 in St. Helena Parish. Another license issued to Harris Waller on 7/25/1834 (bride's name unreadable). Deacon Waller died on Sept. 26, 1872, in the 73rd year of his life. Harris Waller, Pvt., Co. E, 3rd Calvary Roll of prisoners of war C.S.A. paroled Gainesville, AL, May 12, 1865. Residence, St. Helena Parish. HENRY & SAMANTHA BOND The 1860 census for St. Helena Parish lists Henry, age 44 and Symantia, age 43 in household 197. In the home, Theodore, 23; Ambrose, 18; Huston, 13; Mary, 12; and Preston, 7. Henry served on first building committee. By 1880, only Henry and wife remain in the household. In 1900, Samantha is living with grandson Henry Lamberth. Her age is 83 and she is a widow, having been married for 60 years. Both are buried in the Bond Cemetery. The inscriptions are as follows: "In memory of Henry Bond, Born Sept. 8, 1812, Died July 29, 1895. Samantha Dickerson, Wife of Henry Bond, Born April 10, 1817, Died June 22, 1902." LYDIA D. LAMBERTH Lydia D. Bond married Daniel J. Lambert on 12/16/1857. In 1860, this family is household 191. Mr. Lambet is 23 and wife 22 with three small children. By 1880, Lydia is a 42 year old widow with children: Marshall, Benson, John, Alice and Gil- bert. In 1900, Lydia is living with son Henry in household 352. Also Samantha Bond is in home. They are buried in Bond Cemetery: "Lydia Debby Ann Bond, 1837 - 1910, Married Daniel Gilbert Lam- berth, 1831 - 1864". J.C. WALLER J.C. Waller served on first building committee. Marriage license issued in St. Helena Parish to Jefferson C. Waller to marry Elizabeth Tate on 12/23/1852. No other information is available. H.C. PREY No information available. T.C. & ELLEN BOND Theodore Bond was first Church Clerk. Theodore C. Bond mar- ried Ellen Hays on 11/19/1865 in St. Helena Parish. The 1880 cen- sus lists Theodore as a 44 year old farmer with wife Ellen and children: Hanry, 14; Mary, 9; Eugenia, 7; Marshall, 4 and Hayden, 1. MINERVA BOND No available information. TEXAN MOORE In 1860 census for St. Helena there is a Texana Moore, 10 years old living in the household of David Moore, 39 year old farmer with real estate of $300 and personal property of $3,000. Also in this home, James, 13 and Mavina, 12. J.M. MOORE A James M. Moore married Margaret J. Bridgwell on Oct. 5, 1869, in St. Helena Parish. Also in 1860 there is a James Moore living alone, a carpenter, with real estate valued at $500 and personal property of $6500. He was born in South Carolina. JESSEE BAZOON Jesse Bazoon is household 209 in 1870 census for St. Helena Parish. He is 35 years of age, a farmer, wife Mary is 32. Child- ren: Nicholas, 19; Winnie, 16 and Sampson, 14. Jessee Bazoon, Co. D, 3rd La. Calvary (Wingfield's) enlisted St. Helena Parish, May 19, 1862. Paroled at Port Hudson, July, 1863. A.J. WALLER No information available. A.H. BOND No information available. MARTIN BOND In 1870 census Martin Bond was a 24 year old farm hand in home of Theodore Bond with personal property valued at $150. ********
