He was a native of Montpelier. The body was at the McKneely Funeral Home in Amite until 4 p.m., Tuesday, with religious services at the Montpelier Methodist Church at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery. Survived by his widow, the former Leona Thompson; one son, Walter Louis Brown, Baton Rouge; four sisters, Mrs. Hebert George, Georgeville, Mrs. Nannie Bond, Montpelier, and Mrs. Ned Stinson and Mrs. Jasper Newman, both of Poteet, Texas; one brother, Carl Brown, Montpelier; and a number of nieces and nephews. *************************************************************************** File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/sthelena/obits/browngl.txt
