He was 75, a native of Moselle, Miss. He was a former principal of Woodland High School in St. Helena Parish for 30 years and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday. Visiting at Hillsdale Baptist Church, 1 p.m. to religious services at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Teman Knight. Burial in Hillsdale Cemetery. Survived by wife, Charel H. Hulsey, Amite; a daughter, Katherine H. Raborn, Greensburg; two sons, Lt.Col. James G. Hulsey Jr., Ponchatoula, and Dr. Thomas L. Hulsey, Amite; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Lowe and Mrs. Kassie Murphy, both of Boerne, Texas; and nine grandchildren, Boyd and Rich Raborn, both of Greensburg, Jeff Raborn, Baton Rouge, Jamie Hulsey, Radford, Va., Charel and Travis Hulsey, both of Ponchatoula, Hunter, Haley and Heath Hulsey, all of Amite. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Addie Hulsey; two brothers, Dr. Rex Hulsey and Gavin Hulsey.
