W. Lindsey, Sr. Passed Away Sunday Mrs. Hollis Womack Lindsey, Sr., passed away Sunday morning at her home in Greensburg at 7:00 a.m. Mrs. Lindsey was 81 years old and a life-time resident of St. Helena Parish. She was Margaret Minerva Thompson before her marriage to Hollis Womack Lindsey, Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Greensburg Methodist Church. She was a student of Norvilla Institute in Greensburg. The body was at Brown Funeral Home in Amite until 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, 1959, when it was taken to the Greensburg Methodist Church to lie in state until 4:00 p.m. Funeral services were held from the Greensburg Methodist Church with the Rev. James A. Knight, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Thomas Lane of Jackson, La. Interment took place in the Greensburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edwin Schilling, Jr., Norman Robertson, Lawrence Thompson, Jr., Charles Julius Cole, Webb Bellue, Dorman Burch, Jimmie Thompson and Edgar L. Morgan. Survivors include eight children, four daughters and four sons. They are Mrs. John B. Laird of Baker, Mrs. W. S. Dyson of Baton Rouge, Mrs. N. J. Stafford of Franklinton, Mrs. J. H. Rhodes of Zachary, Jim K. Lindsey of Jackson, Thomas C. Lindsey of Greensburg, Julius R. Lindsey of Louisville, Kentucky, Hollis W. Lindsey, Jr., of Baton Rouge. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Angus Robertson and Mrs. E. E.
