JOSEPHINE PEROYEA, age 60, mother of Donald C. Peroyea of Greensburg, died Wednesday morning, at 6 p.m., July 24, at the home of her son, L. M. Peroyea in Jackson, Miss. Funeral services were held from P. J. McMahon and Sons Funeral Home on Canal Street in New Orleans, with requiem mass at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Lakeview's St. Dominic Catholic Church. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Peroyea was a native and resident of New Orleans and during the past several months she had divided her time visiting her sons in Greensburg and Jackson, Miss. She had been in ill health for several years and prior to her illness she had been active in the neighborhood Mother's Club, of which she had served as President. Survivors include two sons, Donald C. Peroyea and Lucien M. Peroyea a step-daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Parr, a step-son, E. C. Peroyea, Jr.; grandchildren, including Jeanne, Chip and David Peroyea of Greensburg; three sister, and an aunt, Mrs. Mamie Locke of New Orleans. Pallbearers were cousins Charles Branch of Ponchatoula, Lucien Branch of Monroe, and nephews Kenny Usner, Bobby and Phillip Miller and step-grandson, E. C.
