C. (DUB) PRICE died at 10:05 p.m Wednesday, July 31, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 49, a native of Baywood, a resident of Greenwell Springs, a guard with the LSU Campus Security and a veteran of World War II. Religious services were held at Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Saturday conducted by the Rev. Cecil Causey. Interment was in Harrell Cemetery, Watson. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. W. C. (Leola) Price, Greenwell Springs; mother, Mrs. Ida Robbins Hanna, Pine Grove; father, James M. Price, Greenwell Springs; son, William C. (Billy) Price Jr., Greenwell Springs; daughter, Patricia Lou Price, Greenwell Springs; seven sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Baker, Amite; Mrs. Marveleen Cheek, Mrs. Margaret Heck, Mrs. Davis King and Mrs. Daisy Hoffan, all of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Lena Dearman and Mrs. Clara Duncan, both of Watson; four brothers, Herbert and Edward Price, both of Baton Rouge; Monroe Price, Pine Grove, and Willard Price, Watson; four half-brothers, Charlie and Larry Price, (both of Greenwell Springs; Louie Price, Baton Rouge, and Clarence Price, Vietnam; three half-sisters, Miss Carol Mae Price, Greenwell Springs,)* and Mrs. Tressie Stiles and Mrs. Virginia Hicks, both of Baton Rouge and two grandsons, Michael DeWayne Price and William Richard Price. He was a member of Bluff Creek Baptist Church. *(Submitters NOTE: Two lines of text were interchanged in the newspaper regarding the half-brothers and half-sisters who survived.
