MRS. LORENA R. THOMPSON died at 2:30 Wednesday, December 11, at
the Amite Nursing Home.  A native and resident of Rt. 3, Amite,
she was 76.  Religious services were held at Hillsdale Baptist
Church at 11 a.m. Friday.  The Rev. George W. Hurst officiated. 
Burial was in Hillsdale Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Kenion Thompson, Lake City, Fla.,
and Jimmie Thompson, Amite; four daughters, Mrs. Arundel
McDonald, Livingston, Miss Katie and Mrs. Austin Casanova, both
of Amite, two sisters, Mrs. D. E. Zachary, Amite, and Mrs. Luther
Woodard, DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; nine grandchildren, and three
great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband,
K. K. Thompson
