MISS MARY VERNON died at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 1979, in
Bogalusa.  She was 71, a native of Chesbrough, a former resident
of Donaldsville and a resident of Bogalusa.  Religious services
were held Wednesday at McKneely Funeral Home in Amite.  Burial in
Arcola-Roseland Cemetery.  Survived by a brother, D. A. Vernon,
Charleston, S.C., and a number of nieces and nephews.
