He was 59, a native of Beaumont, Tex., and a resident of Greensburg. Religious services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Days Methodist Church, Liverpool, conducted by the Rev. Bray Sibley. Burial was in Greensburg Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, the former Hazel Redmond, Greensburg; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clay Whitmire, Buna, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Bernie (Leona) Ripkowski, Kountz, Tex.; one brother, Claude Whitmire, Beaumont, Tex.; a number of nieces and nephews.
