State of Louisiana - Parish of St. Helena
Sixth Judicial District Court

To (illegible) Or any other person legally authorized to solemnize
Marriages in said Parish.

YOU ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED to solemnize the Rites of Matrimony be-
tween J.W. Davis and Miss Eliza Stone the formalities and requisites
of the law having been complied with this day.

GIVEN under my hand and Seal of office, this 15th
  day of February A.D., 1883

Matrimonial Bond

State of Louisiana -- Parish of St. Helena,
Sixth Judicial District Court

Know All Men by these Presents, That we J.W. Davis as Principal, and
Y.A. White as security, are held and firmly bound unto the Clerk of
said Court, and his assigns, in the sum of five hundred dollars, to
which payment well and truly be made we bind ourselves, our heirs and
assigns, etc. 

WHEREAS, the above bound J.W. Davis has applied to said Clerk for a 
License to enter into the Bonds of Matrimony, with Miss Eliza Stone
which I will issue on the signing of this bond.

Now, the Conditions hereof are such, that if there is no legal impediment 
to the celebration of said marriage and the same shall be solemnized
according to law, then the obligation to be void, else to remain in 
full force.

This is to certify that I the undersigned Minister of the Gospel have
this day solemnized the holy Rites of Matrimony between the within
named parties, in ????  ??? whereof I have caused the parties to
said marriage to hereunto affix their respective name, together with 
the undersigned witnesses.  This the 15th day of Feb. A.D. 1883.
