Amite Co., MS Marriage Records Whereas Joshua Parker and Nancy Wilson both of the State of Louisiana and Parish of St. Helena intends marriage together according to laws and customs of the Country, have mutually entered into the following articles of agreement, by which each of the contracting parties, do by these presents acknowledge that I Joshua Parker do bargain and convey to Nancy Wilson as a lawful marriage contract, to wit, namely the following property, a tract or settlement of land lying to the head of twelve mile creek, one grey horse five years old, one bay mare four years old, one sorrel mare eight years old, all household furniture, beds and bedding, and also all the stock of cattle and hogs, also land in the State of Georgia Wilks County Hartins Creek, it being land remaining undivided of Andrew Wilson decd, a Negro boy by the name of Daniel, and chestnut sorrel horse, the said Negro and horse being in Georgia. I the said Joshua Parker do hereby bequeath and settle on her the said Nancy Wilson the above mentioned property as a marriage contract and lawful dowry.
