Sobral. - Frederick Alexander Sobral, son of A. M. Sobral, a well-known resident of this city, died at his home in Memphis at 1 o'clock Wednesday morning, after an illness of two weeks with pneumonia, aged thirty-two years, seven months and eighteen days. Mr. Sobral was a native of St. James parish, but had resided for the past three years in Memphis, where he was employed as book-keeper of the Clover Farm Dairy Company. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Fannie Landry, of this city; two children, Kearney, aged 10 and Lloyd, aged 6; his father, A. M. Sobral; two brothers, Joseph, of Whitecastle, and Antoine, of Donaldsonville, and two sisters, Mrs. Peter Stifft, of New Orleans, and Miss Jacinta Sobral, of this place. The remains of the lamented young man were brought down from Memphis via the Mississippi Valley road Thursday and conveyed to St. James, where they were interred after impressive services at St. James Catholic church. The Chief tenders sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
