(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, December 30, 1922, page 3 Death of Aged Veteran. - Floremon Borne, age 80 years, a native of St. John parish, died last Tuesday morning. He was stricken suddenly while conversing with a neighbor and collapsed. A physician was summoned immediately, but before his arrival the aged man died in the arms of his son, Arthur Borne. Deceased was married four times and leaves four children surviving, being Mrs. Omer Robert of this city, Mrs. A. Himel of New Orleans, Arthur Borne of Edgard and Andre Borne of Reserve. He served in the civil war and was noted for his bravery. The Chief extends its sincere sympathy to the family in their bereavement and many friends also mourn the loss of the old veteran who fought so bravely for his country.
